You appear confused about something. Not once in history had a company acted because a thousand nobodies signed some sort of an irrelevant change.org petition. The Credit Card companies moved, because whoever was funding that activist group, or was one of its members, held real power. It is why when they acted, their demands were instantly met, whereas regular people in the EU need to wait a year and gather a million signatures. These two are not the same.
