Scorcher of Souls on Hard was tough, I didn't rest after Hepzamirah/Baphomet just to see if I could manage it.
The lich power "Deadly Magic" is really powerful but there's a couple of issues I need to keep in mind:
1) if it's on and I cast something like Siphon Time, then the "no magic casting" affects everyone, companions and enemies alike.
2) it's only three rounds and it stays on so it's REALLY easy to just lose it all pointlessly.
3) I always forget to use it since it needs a bit of care to use and I have so many other things. But man is it powerful.
Scorcher of Souls starts at like 70 AC and his first round he sunbursts you, most likely blinding everyone. Second round is this Fire Storm/Sirocco combo that is absolutely devastating. I flew through Hepzamirah and her crew, basically everything here in Colyphyr mines, but this action by him takes out 3-4 people pretty much without recourse. Woljif has Seamantle, Daeran has a Ring of Evasion and pretty high Dex but my KC, Cam, and Nenio are essentially guaranteed to go down.
Not sure how I'd do it without Deadly Magic honestly. I suppose go rest up and pile on some fire immunity/resistance, communal stoneskin and hope for the best, even at the least getting to the downed KC with a raise dead/resurrect in time. Likely too far negative to come back with a single breath of life/inspiring recovery.
Whew, I'd say that's been the toughest fight so far in the game. AND now we get to level before heading back to the Nexus, fuck yeah.

Side note: I really fucking hate the way Dispelling works in this game. It's amazing to me that protections and stripping protections/debuffs is somehow 10x better in oldBG from 25 years ago. Is this an Owlcat thing or a PF thing?
