Was it Shuji who killed Char or was it Amuro who did it?

I think that's still up for interpretation and Shuji did not recognise Amuro in the Endymion Unit.

There are still lots of unanswered questions. Where did Char go after Solomon Zeknova and how did he meet Shuji.
