Iceborne was ironically the peak of the IP before Wirebugs and Focus Mode ruined everything.

Back then we thought the fucking Clutch Claw was bad. Jesus Christ.

DC characters in general are too unrealistic because they are so over powered. Its the reason why only Batman games have been successful, their core roster is just unreasonable when you consider how to structure game play around them.

The Flash is so fast he destroys any consideration of racing structure or game play structure without incoherently blinding or confusing the player, the Green Lantern's basic asset creativity due to how his powers work is unreasonable if you consider general game play not to mention constantly adding new concepts and shapes for him to project, Wonder Woman is similar to Superman in how over powered she should be in comparison to general game play and enemies around her. It just goes on and on how over powered they are.

DC's problem is DC. It always has and always will be. It needs good writers to effectively stand out at the end of the day and it had those in the past, but now they're long gone thanks to WB owning the brand.

Marvel characters work because they're flawed, they aren't perfect. Iron Man is still just a rich guy in a suit, Cap America is defined by patriotism and political ups and downs, Spider-Man is ultimately Spider-Man and is proven enough massively fun to play as, Punisher is just a guy with a gun killing bad guys, Hulk constantly is fighting with himself in a psychological identity battle, Wolverine is just some guy with metal claws a good sense of smell to track characters and a regenerative physiology.

I can think of dozens of scenarios alone i could structure or conceptualize around the latter's characters very easily. I would have to actually think to consider DC's side of that argument because the characters are so overwhelming and basic.
