Most of the problem Superman faced don't really get addressed in the film it just gets handwaved off into about the superficial parents angle. Him interfering with geopolitical affairs was the inciting incident and is a well-known Superman Question because his existence supersedes the rights of sovereignty of states at the blink of an eye. The film is the least nuanced Superman has ever been because it needs to be, even the Lex Luthor is dumbed down to a caricature because that's the only way Gunn Superman can actually justify himself.
