i think they used one of the smaller pods you dont need anything that big and you need the extra fuel

also 500 strikes were done with drones, since all the strikes on buildings were jdams and heavy bombs im guessing a lot of the drone strikes (done with mikholit 50kg rockets) were done against ballistic launchers

its not dropping anything you just see reflections of the streetlights behind it being warped. because the engine exhaust is so hot when light passes though the temperature difference it bends

the plane is super heavy (full fuel, full drop tanks + bombs) so it has to go 100% engine + afterburner just to take off thats why the exhaust flame is so huge

jdam doesnt require pictures of the plane from the ground it uses a targeting pod on the plane you can see it in the pictures of the planes taking off
