That sounds extreme but for a lot of you it's 100% the case. Food prices are already crazy and will only get worse once your country has to send a fuckton of its calories to fighting a war.
Farm land gets destroyed.
Farm hands get killed.
Supply lines get cut.

If you want to give yourself a chance of surviving, invest in some perennials right now. They take a few years to get established, so you can't wait until you're starving to plant them.

Or maybe you'd fancy more something like a Mandarin melon berry tree? If you only plant a female, the fruit are naturally seedless.
