There's some bullshit where Eren wasn't free because Ymir needed to specifically see Mikasa kiss Eren's severed head to move on, but it's extremely contrived and betrays everything established in the Paths chapters where Eren "frees" Ymir (except Mikasa actually freed her in the final chapter lol lmao)
