I don't know much about Japanese ethnic discourse, but to me it is silly that a mostly phenotypically homogenous country tries to talk about racism. To me it seems they did an about face regarding their racism towards Chinese and Koreans, where you probably have "intellectual" racists writing diatribes regarding why such peoples and cultures are inferior to them, and then they got nuked and the country changed and now it's just "racism bad." Or at the very least "we should tolerate people that aren't obnoxious even if they are foreigners."
At this point it's too late to want them to change this since it is a nearly 20 year old plot point and they wanted this to be the conflict that defined Calvard. To me, the best they could do would be showing some racist white leader and maybe the leader of an easter jaeger corps reach an understanding; they absolutely hate each other and each side has killed people belonging to the other side, whites learn about the struggles out east, the jaegers learn about the government struggles and displacement whites feel and they find some common ground.
To me adding racist Chinese/Heiyue fucks would just come off as some sort of /pol/ parody lol.
