I wanna write a fantasy story someday about a loli mage apprentice in a race to sneak a magical artifact out of a sinking abandoned city of towers in the sky full of hostile, living dolls as it slowly plummets into a vast sea of living flesh that blemmyes, sciapods, and cyclopes, etc. are crawling out of. Leading the menagerie of abominations is the last surviving elder giant (think a giant head with really, really long arms and legs connected to it) seeking the artifact so it can feed it to the Axis Mundi (i.e. the sea of living flesh) to birth a living god to lead them to replace humanity. Basically, I just want an excuse to have a setting where naked misshapen muscular man-monsters fight extremely aggressive, sentient dolls and abandoned mechanical abominations while a cute loli has to scamper through the chaos and escape with her life. Ionno, still thinking about specific plot beats I wanna see incorporated. I know I wanna have a living bridge that she has to cross. Hairs as large as pine trees and gaping pours where living arms covered in wriggle out to snatch unsuspecting prey to rip apart to attach new limbs onto themselves, etc. The tower itself being a giant supercomputer that an ancient race uploaded itself into so they can live forever in a virtual endless paradise called the Pleroma, with the doll guards being uploaded consciences of people born within the Pleroma. An unfathomably vast number of virtual people live within it. Ionno, I need to read more Pliny and find books on the Great Work and shit.
