Well imo it depends on your standards and your looks. If you're good looking and lower your standards to any woman with a pulse who wants to date you then it won't be too hard for you to get a gf. However, the problem is if you're average or slightly above average and don't want to settle for a gf you aren't attracted to at all then you might spend a loooooooong time single, possibly forever.

Also, I have a theory that if you haven't had a gf by the time you are 21 then you'll probably either never have a gf, have 1 chance at a gf or you'll end up lowering your standards and just dating whoever will take you.

Personally, I'm about to turn 27 now and I've never had a full on gf and desu it brings me down. I've had sex now with a few different women and been in the dating stage possibly leading to a relationship with 3 women too but 2 of them ended it with me and I ended it with one of them. The thing that makes it even worse for me is all 3 of these women who I had failed starts to relationships with were all so mid and the one I ended it with had a very asymmetrical face. The first one ended it with me because I was too shy to see her friends thinking what if her friends hate me and convince her to stop seeing me. Then I dumped the 2nd one for a mix of being too clingy and demanding. The 3rd was actually a fwb so I guess it doesn't really count but she stopped seeing me because I wasn't getting hard for her (I mean she didn't say that but it's obviously the biggest issue).

Personally, I find dating so hard that I'm sort of giving up on it and "going my own way" and buying a house in the middle of nowhere, where I imagine dating will be impossible. Like I'm only getting older now and not getting any better looking so I doubt I'll ever have a gf desu. Even if I lower my standards the girl will be able to tell I'm not that attracted to her and the relationship won't work.

Lately I have been drinking more than usual but I think it's justified because it's summer and it's extra relaxing to have a drink after work. I used to limit myself to just 1 wine bottle per week because that's what my mum would get me but now I have my own place and a job so I can afford to drink as much as I want without my parents knowing about it and well I really enjoy drinking. The max I ever drink at one time is equivalent to one bottle of wine or 2L of beer but I am a larger guy and I just drink that much to maintain the pleasant drunk feeling for a few hours rather than to get wasted. Lately I think I've averaged more days per week where I had some sort of alcohol than not having any and today I had a 500ml bottle of ale in the afternoon and I would've had at least half a bottle of wine in the evening but the stores were closed. Man I wanted that wine so bad after working all day...
