Coooorrrr, hot as balls innit? You know, AC really does do wonders. It reduces stress, saves money, incentivises solar infrastructure, is negatively correlated with existing energy demand and of course it saves lives and saves the NHS money.

In fact, we should implement a new statutory right in law for AC on health grounds. We could set up a system where you get an AC-note from your GP (or outsourced to an independent public-private partnership for assessment of AC eligibility).

Social homes, especially ones with older and vulnerable tenants, should be retrofitted by a sub-department of the DHSC. And then if they can't afford it, we could implement some kind of summer fuel allowance for pensioners.
