>My calves blew up doing hill sprints 2-3 times per week. No other exercises have come close and I spam lunges, Bulgarian split squats, and calf raises.
man that hill must be quite far away from your home
>why?
cause "hill sprints" do fuckall for calves and if any of it grew it's because it took u a while to get there, WALKING

>second heart is a system of muscles, veins, and valves in the calf and foot that work together to push deoxygenated blood back up to the heart and lungs. Vein valves act as trapdoors that open and close with each muscle contraction to prevent the backflow of blood.
and ur gut is ur second brain and that's why your back hurts - u're stressed out too damn much

gastrocnemius bends the knee bot
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NfwtDIscQm8
place heels on table as u lie on floor, point toes and pull lower body slightly up as you point your toes

>function is plantar flexing the foot at the ankle joint and flexing the leg at the knee joint.

>NEVER train legs.
i would be perty fine with that
>how so?
turns out my quads look very nice slimmed down on vastus lateralis and adductors too) with accentuated VMO from unilateral quarter-squats with internal hip rotation - vry nice thank u - i don't need much moar on my upper leg

BUT

i want all the gastrocnemius i can muster and since calves isn't legs in your vernacular bot then i am 100% ok with not "doing legs"

>haha, jokes on u human - u can't grow any calves with calf raises, it will only strain and aggravate rectus femoris on top of fucking up your calves - u will feel the latter in the back of the knee

no u bot :D i do heel-hook for my calves, it never gets old bot
>what?
growing muscle, new muscle, changing appearance and function forever cause i can't imagine myself not hanging from my heels once a week for couple of minutes lol - that's what gastrocnemius does: it bends knee when ankle is already bent (toes are pointing)

>n-noooo, calf raises, 200 kilos barbell calf raises, and stretch, walk on plate with toes with this retarded heavy stick, or be obese, gemneticism, or roon uphill with as much weight as u can haul blah blah

no bot, calves grow from heelhook, none of the conventinal calf exercises include any active bend in knee, like so:
