When you think about it, Flonne is the abstract ideal of a neetwife.
>Comes to you from parts unknown
>Needs a place to stay, starts living with you as a pseudo adoption
>No real job or immediate aspirations, spends most of her time in hobbies
>Not unclean or messy. Actively makes your living space more pleasant
>Not really a shut in, is happy to go do things
>Emotionally available at all times, deeply empathetic, and is always willing to help you, or tag along with what you're doing
>Mostly philosophically lazy. Actively works to improve your shared living space and make your lives better, but doesn't engage with traditional labor
>Goes to extreme lengths to talk with you and help you through your parental issues, and make you a better man.
>Is never a pushover, never lets you take the easy way out, and carries herself with dignity
>Is working to improve her situation, but never turns her back on you.
It's really incredible how well they did with her

In this game's case, it wasn't so much that the characters themselves were appealing. I actually skipped all dialogue, story events and concerts! Didn't really think much about character choice either beyond stats and skills. The safisfying part was the gameplay grind; Building a good support deck and training properly can make some pretty cool builds! Watching a race come down to the wire and seeing your horse skank pop like 6 skills to blow past the competition IS pretty hype! But yeah, after binging it enough it gets annoying that the races are pretty much un-interactable RNG cutscenes. Plus the skills you gain are entirely dependent on your support cards, so if you don't pull any good ones enjoi ur shit build.
