The idea that the Matrix was an allegory about being trans is bullshit and I don't give a shit if the Wachowskis "confirmed" it.
Why? Because they didn't say anything about it being about being trans when it came out. They didn't reveal that this is what the Matrix was about all along when they both trooned out. They ONLY "confirmed" that it was about being trans all along after it became a popular internet theory two decades later.
Creators will sometimes do this. I remember there being a popular theory among feminist fans of the movie Alien that the movie was actually about rape (because the facehuggers forcibly "impregnate" their victims with the juvenile xenomorph). Likewise with the Matrix, this was "confirmed" decades later by the creators that, yeah, Alien was totally about rape and feminism and not just a slasher film in space. Or Heinlein "confirming" at a Libertarian rally that you could become a citizen in the Starship Troopers universe though peaceful community service, despite this directly contradicting the text of the book. Or that time JK Rowling decided to make half of the cast of her books black and gay after the fact (before her big fallout with the trannies.)
The idea that the Matrix is about being trans is based entirely on feeling that there's something wrong with the world, and this being solved with a pill (it's an estrogen pill!). Watch the first Matrix movie again. It should become pretty obvious pretty fast that it has fucking nothing to do with being a tranny beyond a couple of fucking Olympian stretches, right beside a thousand fucking things that directly contradict the idea that this is about being a tranny.
