Cranky Kong was NEVER canonically Donkey Kong, that was third party Rare nonsense.
Canonically Mario is canonically 24, and so is DK because Yoshi Island DS LITERALLY SHOWS US Mario and donkey Kong being delivered by the storks at the same time.
