So, all I know about Lancer is that it has some cool artworks, use a sci-fi genre usually unpopular for its idealism (solarpunk) and the main heroes... are space communists.

But then I read that:

>Any villain is just a simulation amd space communism males sure to not make them exist
>All aliems sentient enough is a victim, never a bad guy
>Space Communism = best economy
> Mechs ain't that relevant despite it all
>There is no theorocal need for conflicts
>AI are forbidden because some AI god forbade it, and asap someone tries something they will be obloterated
>Naval combat is how fights happens
>Nothing ever happens in this setting

So how someone enjoys it? How are consequences important if in the end they are just manipulated in the way space commies want them to happen ?

There are no real ways for some asshole or megalaniac to exist in this setting wothout been just a spec in a simulation ?

i have the core rulebook for the system but i am also broke, has anyone been able to pirate or get pdf's of the Lancer system for the other mechs/story options. Me and my group have played a lot of 5e and pathfinder 2e and they wanted to try a sci fi.
