It's actually surprisingly hard to get a good broadcast mix out of a ballroom live even like this.
Singer's mic ends up getting fucked by the drumkit right behind them, the amps 2ft away, and the foldbacks turned right the fuck up because "Can I get some more ME in the mix plz"
So because of alladat the vox has to be kept right the fuck down or otherwise it'll feed back like a motherfucker and then you look like an idiot.
