Im 35 years old and beyond jaded, but I'm actually excited for this. I really liked the show and books and Mass effect gameplay lends itself well to this setting, as long as they nail the Zero G aspect. I honestly forgot what actual hype feels like, it's been so long.

There's a guaranteed market of people who already played the genre in its heyday and have now grown up and have cash to spare. Like me. That's a market, but it's still a niche one; the same one Elite Dangerous also taps into.
The modern audience likes space games, they just don't care for arcadey space combat games ripping on Star Wars and Top Gun.
