The definition of a "traditional alpha male" has always been fuzzy because it's updated and changed every decade just like how definition of the ideal female has always been changing. When you think of "traditional alpha male" in this conversation we'd really have to ask each other what that even means because otherwise we'll just keep talking over the other. All that said, Sonic is absolutely the apex male in the franchise by default, his depiction in older side media aside that's how he has been shown in the franchise for the vast majority of it's lifespan and is most likely not going to stop anytime soon.

I'm willing to agree to disagree as well at this point though. You have your own reasons for liking the ship and that's fine.
