I like cutting and reposing things. And adding.
There will be no kitbashing.
For example; this snake body I intend to make will be starting with a PVC pipe, heated with a heat gun (look up forming PVC Bows). Using a bent bundle of wires shoved inside to keep the curve. I'll cut that when it settles, and I'll be using aluminum wire(cheap af) to be the exterior, since the PVC pipe is meant to be the frame holding the weight. The aluminum wires that extend as the under-skin will be the whole tail. I'll be cutting one wire every 2 inches so it makes it thinner towards the end.
After the wire/pipe and such is done, I'll be using filler to cover the wire where little ripples in the skin going the length of the tail is visible. This will be similar looking to the ribcages of the usual tyranid model but going vertical, and be MUCH better looking than what currently "GW thinks Tyranid snake bodies look". Raveners/HYper adapted raveners/Trygons/Mawlocks I'll be doing will have a unified look to them.
All of my 12 big critters will have a similar face, looking like the same themed army instead of a bunch of off-being looking monsters you show a random person that knows nothing about Tyranids would assume is from a different faction. Show a carnifex and a mawlock to a stranger that's unpainted and they'll bet against them being from the same army.
>spinning around the tentacles of the mouth is ezpz, just cut fine across and spin, supported with an internal pin/nob
I like converting. Did it for hundreds of models back in 3rd/4th.

Just excited for my big purchase.

I have plans, since I like to convert stuff. Sort of like pic related. I already have the PVC pipe and heat gun to angle/reset the tube. I just need to bed some rebar to curve sections little my little and pull the rebar out and heat up the next part while clamping it tighter and tighter towards the tail and when it meets the base I can use other stuff to finish the snake tail.
Among many other conversions. 5 of the primes become hyper adapted raveners. 15 of the leftover 18 ryans leapers will become raveners. 120hormagaunts/120 termagaunts
I'll be updating as I did with my spider tyranids. Which are getting close to being fully assembled. Genestealers are time consuming!

I plan on using wire snips before assembling the model. I just need to angle the model as I please.
Simple image to show what I plan for a mawloc/trygon. I looked over the model sprue plenty to see its very possible, I'll be removing the smoke stacks and using them somewhere else.
The wail will be wires and PVC pipe, with filler.. I also love snakes, and I WILL be making the model look like a coiled up snake in defense mode.
