I appreciate it anon but I'm just going to bump this thread this last time myself to announce a brief hiatus. Everyone's too busy for it at the moment, and a bit burned out, myself included, so I'll give it maybe a week or so, then post a new one once I have four finished requests to post in succession. It'll give time for people to miss it if they're going to, and taking the pressure off for a little will free up creativity.

>tldr: this message is the last bump I'll give this thread, please let it drop off the board everyone, save any ideas for it and I'll see you guys when I make a new thread, please don't make a new one for me.

I've been roped in running running an AKN/GFL/PGR/N:GoV cross-over game, because it's the only way I could convinced my group to play pic-related.
TL10. 500 points. All advantages permitted (as long as they're justifiable in the lore of at least one of the above settings).
I can tolerate some gacha games, because the worldbuilding in some of them honestly goes fucking hard. But fuck anything miHoYo-related with a ten foot pole.
>romanticized and mystical image of China
GFL is being used as the primary nexus point of this multiverse of madness. China has been nuked to smithereens twice and is the reason that everything has gone to shit. Praise King Chong. Everyone gets to live in a STALKER-esque bombed-out irradiated wasteland filled with bandits, cultists, necromorphs, rogue AIs, alien anomalies, and neo-soviet Metal Gear.
>While emulating actual gacha mechanics is likely impractical
We avoid gacha game mechanics like the fucking plague, using only the setting/lore material. Fuck gachapon. Fuck energy systems. We ball.
>I can see a contrivance wherein the party unlocks characters as the campaign goes along.
Coincidentally, I have been doing the thing where random playable characters and NPCs from the games get rescued by the party, or just suddenly show up, and get added to the party's home base as the plot progresses, because character cameos makes my players happy.
No one has swapped out with any of the NPCs yet. Most of the players prefer to play their own OCs. But if any of the players want to swap out, which I'm cool with that.
Eventually, I plan to have all the NPCs eventually participate in a final, grand, climactic clusterfuck battle against all the antagonist factions. The players might watch some of their waifus die. But that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
