You do realize that best 2D hand drawn animation is always drawn in 24 fps right? Unless you prefer characters moving like paperdolls with excessive Motion Tweening.

No. Benefit of CGI is that the most time-consuming part is modeling and rigging the characters but once that part is done, animation is a breeze compared to traditional style. In traditional animation you draw the same character hundreds if not thousands of times. It doesn't matter how good you as an artist, its still going to take a long time. And its the time requirement which makes traditional style more expensive to make.
