When I was a kid I did understand MGS2. Hell I understood MGS 1 (even if it didn't have a lot to say)
Deus ex would have gone over my head.
But when writing is bad, it's bad. Even 6 year old me wouldn't have liked Veilgaurd.

I have many. I'm growing pumpkin, squash and watermelons and built a privacy fence. I enjoy hiking trails and taking pics from my trips.

Then why are you trying to justify that we would like these games if we were younger?
Clearly you are bothered that older people don't feel the same, even though older people than me at work play fortnight.
I just don't like the games you listed.
One I don't like as a genre and see nothing wrong with it as a game and stick up for the people that play it cause I benefit from it.
The other had bad writing.
Its not like you listed off DUSTBORN or MINDSEYE, Games you listed just aren't my style.
