In FF3 a minor boss makes his castle in a flying tree or some shit. His name is Sorcerer Hyne. In FF8 there is deep lore you have to look for by talking to NPCS about a creation story of how a Sorcerer Hyne (who we never really see) split his body in two (the sorceresses power and Ultima Weapon but Ultima Weapon isnt said explicitly) created humans as a slave race and people rose up and fought him splitting his body in two.
Basically the God of FF8 and origin of Sorceress' true power and real magic (everything else is fake paramagic with GFs)
