What does "live comfortably" mean? If you're making 80k you can afford a starter home and live like a boomer did back in the day (eat hot dogs and drink light beer, never travel, and live in a shitty suburb, commute to work in a car without air conditioning) then you can easily live like that.
You can't go globetrotting or get bottle service at the club everyday but that's not necessary for living comfortably.
