I think the shows the netflix audience watches and the shows /a/ watches aren't really overlapping very much. It won't change much in the same way that video games didn't change much when they went mainstream, a new tier was just created to corral the normalfags and the lower budget studios (same budget as the old AAA) carried on making Underage Panty Quest XIV for the nerd audience.

So why is violence and rape and dark crass things good and allowed but anything upbeat and sexual gets instabanned?
