Personally I don't understand how Owlcat can be so grossly incompetent at encounter design when they could simply copy the homework of other developers like Larian at the worst. How hard can it be to actually provide some actual tactical thought to your encounters? On the other hand, Through The Ashes showed that their attempts to copy Larians environmental design left much to be desired, so maybe it scared them off trying to copy anything else.

So basically you're saying that all that the Pathfinder (and RT to a lesser extent) games are is character builders. Therefore, the combat might as well not exist since properly building your characters negates the existence of combat as an actual experience. Right then.
