So, I got three questions about the games i'm currently playing.
Firstly, about the Grey Army Base in Underrail.
My objective there is to drink a bunch of gun lubricant with Dude to unfuck the Juice in our system, right? Is it possible to find actual gun lubricant other than the quest item and use it like the sharpening stone on my guns? Or is this a one-off quest item that I have no use for? Most importantly, can I also drink it?

The second one is about RT.
I decided to arrest Governor Vyatt when I arrived on Janus. Will that change anything regarding how the quest progresses? When I first did it in my last playthrough, all I did was go along until the very obvious reveal she was a Slaaneshi cultist.

And, lastly, this one is about Disco Elysium
I went with a high Perception set for Harry and managed to find the bullet in Lely's corpse. How much would that change up the going of the plot, now that I know it wasn't any of the Hardie Boys' pistols that killed him?

Personally I don't understand how Owlcat can be so grossly incompetent at encounter design when they could simply copy the homework of other developers like Larian at the worst. How hard can it be to actually provide some actual tactical thought to your encounters? The way gamedev usually works for larger companies is that the only way they can justify the dev time is if they're making paid content. They have been using the DLC development budgets in fixing the game in other ways too, and the Trazyn DLC especially is meant to be late-game thus is partially fixing act 4. I disagree, there's infinite variation to be found in the Imperium as it's the most fleshed out faction, others feel like caricatures in comparison. It's a matter of the writers finding the interesting tidbits to expand upon.
The main restriction of course being that since it's DLC it has be to available for every playstyle, thus there needs to be at least a semi-justified reason for dogmatic/iconoclast/heretical to keep the character around. That basically removes these options and the cost of developing new animation rigs (one of the most expensive processes) is another.

I have had enough of such characters, Solomorne cemented that, I genuinely am not going to buy the future DLCs if it's more Imperium characters who just provide a slight variance on a perspective into the setting and universe I've already seen more than enough times at this point. If it's not a xenos they ought to just go for broke and do that Daemonette companion they originally planned. Also I don't think you can really count the DLC companions as being Heretic or Iconoclast aligned even if you can push them that way, when their default state is Dogmatic. So removing those from the list, the only Heretic companion is Idira, and the only Iconoclast companions are Abelard and Jae. That's it. Legit everyone else is hardcoded or at least starts as Dogmatic. It's a really poorly designed part of the game, there should be way more variance in the convictions of your retinue.

This was a ridiculous fight, Baphomet talking a big game, then bulking up this guy who in round 1 gets hit with Ill Omen + Mortal Terror. 1st and a 2nd level spell and then a few hits gets him Shaken, then another Frightened. He then runs around his room a little pointlessly, then one more hit to render him Unconscious the rest of combat.

Mortal Terror is pretty ridiculous honestly, though you have to boost your Enchantment and general DC pretty high. I'm pulling out almost all the stops there and have a +39 for that 2nd level spell, against his +26 Will (on hard). So this little 'mini boss' would need to roll a 13, still better (for me) than flipping a coin.
I'm not sure how to exactly think about Ill Omen which is essentially a string of forced "disadvantage" rolls, but suffice it to say it tanks his chances pretty hard.

Also Arue, Daeran, and Woljif have absolutely destroyed his Str and Dex in a few rounds. Grandmaster Rod + Wracking Ray can be devastating.

This hallway is pretty rough. Those dretches do this dispelling/lightning/suicide explosion thing, so Nenio threw down Sirocco and Cam has already gushed out one tsunami, that's helped but focus is split in that other room that had some demodands and now out of nowhere a minotaur who in his first turn (after getting up from another Sirocco) threw out Chain Lightning and a Cone of Cold.
Not going to survive very much of that.
Thankfully my Enchantment has paid off and I've already landed two Mass Hold Monster, one on the dead demodands (and a dead insane dretch that almost ruined my day), and another on the dretches coming around the corner.

I do find it funny that the eldar companion in RT is exceptionally autistic even relative to her race. Eldar interact with humans all the time across the galaxy, corsairs work with humans constantly, the Indomitus Crusade was founded with eldar present, and there are even a few half-eldar in various books and rpg supplements (whether they are currently canon or not). Yrliet's own people don't even like her, she can't convince the survivors to even listen to her and she was the designated monkey tamer on Janus that the farseers knew might die like the previous one did.

I played Trickster magic deceiver on Unfair and the class is so strong that it doesn't really matter if there is barely any synergy, although its strength mostly came from Owlcat's complete inability to code their games properly, because fused spells completely bypass spell immunity, you can use fused Phantasmal Killers on Undead, and can even bypass magic immunity if you fuse a spell with one that ignored spell resistance like Shout. I played a Chronomancer, so late game I could uses of trick fate, that was pretty neat.

I think there's something more fundamental than that, like a flag or something "needs a +3 weapon to hit", not just triggered by being out of range of your possible rolls.

It's good to hang on to weapons that have a big + bonus for that reason even if nobody is great with that weapon type.
There's also things like "Protection from Normal Weapons" and "Protection from Magic Weapons" so try to keep an eye on what they cast. The 25 year old game isn't great at providing you the information so you might have to look up "how to hit a flesh golem" or something.
