what's the alternative? Tanking? You just do a watered down dps rotation with zero depth or skill expression and waltz down an isle pulling mobs and spamming defensive, barely having to worry about mechanics or anything remotely adding friction like the other roles.
Even worse in raid, where you just stand in the same spot and swap on 2 of the tank debuff.
