A writer isn't just going to say "Ah, you don't like it? Sorry, I'll change it to something you do like."
It's clear that the audience they want to grab is those who like it and are currently enjoying it instead of those who hate it and don't want to see anything related to Honkai in their Honkai Star Rail ever again. Best thing to do here is hope the next arc has characters that panders to yours/their tastes instead of pretending the game is literally going to die and lose all its players because it stopped pandering to someone's personal tastes.
