Blue Archive IS region locked, just not in as many places.

Region lock is determined by countries individual laws in relation to gambling and what products are allowed to be distributed (ie: some countries require a company to have a physical location within the country to do business within it even if the product is digital). Companies don't just arbitrarily decide to restrict regions from accessing their product.

Also, I greatly enjoy Exedra but there is no comparison between it and BA, BA is unrivaled in this genre.

Blue Archive's story quality only improved with each main and event release and gameplay content also all greatly improved over that time frame. As far as gacha's go Blue Archive is currently unmatched in terms of QOL and F2P friendly-ness. It's even greater cope to think people "shilling" the game is why it's popular now, they just turned it into a fantastic product over time.
