Some are as easy as just logging in with the account you used. Others have some fuckery where you need a code and tech support (fgo).

AL added a 3D dorm mode with some interactions, but it's otherwise still the same flashtier game. They have Genshin/Pokemon clone (Promilia) on the works, but considering Hoyo showed they have their own Pokemon clone, i'm a bit hesitant in their performance.
AK remains the same, where they invest most of their revenue in other stuff that is not the game itself, like Music Videos, Short animes and other stuff. They are working on a sequel of sorts (Endfield) that is Open world. I'm looking forward to that one, since i really enjoy AKs worldbuilding and lore.

Limbus has 0 dupes, getting the character/EGO once and investing in them will lead you to the same power level as everyone else that owns that character/EGO. You only have to deal with a couple of things as well, EXP tickets for levels, and Thread/Shards for upgrading their potential.
But if you want to collect *everything*, good luck. The grind is fucking atrocious, especially if you don't shill out the $10 for the battlepass. Even with the pass, collecting everything is a fools errand when the new stuff is leagues better than old stuff now.

With ZZZ I log in for a few weeks at a time every few months but somehow I still have most of the characters I want + their balls

A little on the obscure side, but very underrated. It gives you infinite free rolls with a 100% SSR rate.

I tried playing genshin a little bit over a year ago, but being new was very punishing since apparently they removed content and I kept failing to get new characters by losing the 50/50 and had like 5 copies of one character (Mona). Very punishing as a new player since there's content that requires multiple characters, it was called abyss or tower or some shit.
I also tried wuthering waves and zzz when they came out, played for a bit then the daily shit felt like work and uninstalled so now I'm not playing anything, I decided these games are not for me.

And speaking of, there's a handful of good adaptations on android, like Gravity Defied(comes with several mods, so it's like a few thousand levels in total) and Ancient Empires(has map editor and multiplayer), and there are always emulators of course. It's a shame that flash emulation is still ass, there are plenty of flash games that would work well with touch controls.

I quit ZZZ in April and GFL2 two weeks ago. There is nothing more liberating than knowing I dont have to suffer through gunsmoke Frontline any longer.

I was consistently one of the top ranked players in my platoon and we would just barely make it to the top 100 each time (Rank 90 to 70) and I knew they would drop below 100 if i didnt give it my all which involved more trial and error than felt worth it to me. I could've just joined a new platoon, but then why would I continue to play anyway? The stories were dull, the characters were annoying to use, and the game modes were simply not fun. I am free from the daily slog of playing dailies only to lose EVERY 50/50. To those of you with better luck that get multiple premium units in a single 10 pull or always manage snag your 50/50s at least, I dont blame you for continuing to play, you have no reason to stop. But it became increasingly apparent to me that gacha simply hates my guts and will stomp my free mats into fine dust each and every time.

Not big into gachs, but brown dust 2 has some pretty good material

I cant speak for GFL1, but even though its not necessary to acquire v1 to v2 character to complete all content in GFL2, some premium characters like Dush, Yoohee, Centaureissi and other feel nearly useless. The dorm is also lacking, and in a game that is primarily about the cute characters, it felt like GFL2 never capitalized on giving players a way to interact with them beyond story events and brief interactions.

The dorms were once supposed to be a big feature for the sequel but everything got delayed because of covid. They're STILL recovering from it and are only now going to have walkable 3D dorms on the CN client. Other gacha ended up stealing their thunder with better interactions.
As for useful dolls, it doesn't help that only fire and water comps feel powerful. Corrosion is just the end-all-be-all Kluk while electric will eventually get their strong units. Ice is okay and then physical is a joke.

Every time I try out a gacha that looks even remotely interesting, it always devolves into simply pressing the auto button or using a "wipe" to play the game less, if it isn't already like that at the start. And at that point, I question why I'm even (still) playing and end up uninstalling.

Why do they do this? Do so many phone game devs just not have confidence in their gameplay? Or is it the fault of whales who want to dump money into the game to play the game even less?
