I'm so ready for this contrarian revisionism of DS2 to end. It's a fine game that has its own merits, but compared to the rest of the entries in the greater Fromsoft Souls catalog it falls way behind. It had a lot of neat ideas, some of which were revisited in later games, but it overall is weighed down heavily by its flaws. The only people who continue to harp on about are zoomers who played it as their first souls game, or contrarian faggots who build their whole online personality around it.
