>It's kinda pointless for him to stay there in those conditions.
And he didn't want to stay on Earth to begin with, he only did so in Buu saga because he wanted revenge on Piccolo, Goten and Trunks, this on top of him being stranded after Vegeta destroyed his ship.

>And that's if he doesn't just find the egg and fucks off because Gohan's energy alone isn't worth his time.
Thing is, the Vargas go after the strongest in the universe to invite them, so they wouldn't bother to get Trunks and 16 if the much stronger Buu/Dabura were around, so Babidi and Dabuta had to die for Trunks and 16 to participate in the tournament, and he wrote it as terribly as possible.

>To be fair, Black holes shouldn't be an issue anymore for anyone that can go faster than light and blow up stars.
Sure, but before showing Broly survived, the narration claims that a black hole's gravity is basically infinite, and it was strong enough to kill Ultra Buu... But not Broly!

>Really? Also couldn't Buu just...absorb Broly?
Didn't even try, he just used melee attacks... No magic attempt or anything.

Also Ultra Buu was stronger than Broly and somehow couldn't hurt him, which, contradicts DBM itself whenever it shows what happens when Broly is hit by someone stronger than him (Hint: He gets hurt).

>trying to make a glorified Kienzan into that universe's 'trump card' is kinda silly.
Sure, but it's more like, "this attack is dangerous and we have to watch out for it", the thing everyone else considers to be actually super dangerous is that black goo.

>Whatever 'Evil guaranteeing' program he had going in probably didn't take due to that.
I guess that's a way to explain the personality differences, but even then, Gero's brainwashing attempt was more so to make them obedient, which failed in both timelines.
