Saving you guys the trouble of clicking.
“It’s really hard to recreate Asian faces accurately in CG, Kojima said. “Especially women and younger people, their skin is so smooth and beautiful that it ends up looking too artificial. This isn’t just limited to Japanese people; many Asians have incredibly fine and delicate skin, so when it’s rendered in CG, it tends to look fake.
“On the other hand, older people or those with freckles scan with more detail. I’ve tried using Japanese actors before, but they never quite looked right… That said, this time we used new technology, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Of course, I still want to improve even more next time.” (machine-translated)

>I'd say desexualizing the characters in a straight male gaze way
In Lost Records, you have Dylan. Who is dressed in a bikini top when you first encounter her. The other characters are all underage. So they aren't overtly sexualized.
Later in the game, you discover Nora's porno mag that she stole from her dad.(It's supposed to be a Playboy/Hustler style mag) It has a ripe ass on the cover, and Nora makes some lewd remarks about it. Sure, the female character is the mouthpiece, but it's still a moment that might have been written for boys. Just overt sexualization.
There are multiple instances to make the girls kiss. I know you probably don't think of that as a straight thing. But when I was growing up, having girls make out was very much for men's pleasure.
>social media posts surrounding it
I don't follow dontnod's social media posts. Could you find and link me to such posts?
>Everything to do with life is Strange 2
This doesn't related to Lost Records. LR itself expresses no opinion about boarders, immigration, or anything related to those topics.
>Life is Strange: True Colors incorporates LGBTQ+ concepts
Life is Strange 1 was already playing with LGBTQ+ concepts. The main character Max can either fall romantically for a boy or a girl. Chloe is clearly gay, and Rachel Amber is a little enigmatic, but the implications of bisexuality are there for her. Merely having gay and bisexual characters isn't in of itself activism.
