Yeah my statement really does seem silly when you leave out the first half of it where I say have a grown up conversation about not wanting the pod to spiral into cedh adjacent decks and if they refuse to do so show them the error of their ways by building an oppressive and unfun cedh deck filled with the most powerful cards to drive the point home that just because you CAN play something doesn't mean you should. I am silly.

If the proxy escalation problem is happening at an LGS I have no valid advice or say on the matter, because too many LGS players are the most contentious midwit sweatlords (figuratively and literally) manchildren on the planet and my default assumption is they either are too autistic to understand a power level conversation or too petulant to do so. My condolences if your only option for games is through the LGS, and I concede proxy hate is valid if it involves LGS games because those types do tend to be cancerous and in general are proxying solely to power game as opposed to just not wanting to blow paycheques on cardboard or prohibitively expensive/rare cards.
