>>96146264 (OP)(Sry for the repost from last thread but I started posting them right at the end of the last one and I would like some feedback if possible)
A while back I started making a 4 decks custom commander set. I already posted the progress here, again a while back. I wanted to update you guys and also, if possible get some feedbacks on the cards. I am using AI for the arts.
The first one is :
ARCANE: RGB Big Spirits and Arcane instants/Sorcery (and Splice unto)
The "lore" is Not!Indian Spirits using their arcane power to oppress the humans and the colonising European

🔍
>>96146314The third one is:
HOLY: BGW with knight that can become spirit token copies on death with inter-creature buffs
The "lore" is the HRE/Catholic Church still in medieval times
Cons
>no protection
>no death triggers
>can be countered
>double red pip makes splashing harder ()
Pros
>non-creature artifacts
>cast trigger (cascade)
>cheaper
>cards can be cast at a later time even without tannuk on board

>>96146318Lel they really do. What's up with that? I know 1 FtM and it plays selesnya and gruul. It also never ever declares a fucking attack and just sits there building a board every turn. >>96146368It's fine but next time better practice would be post all 4 in the previous thread after the new one is posted and then link them here in one anchor post with just your customer commander or something.
Nobody is ever going to critique 200 custom cards. That's too much of an ask. But you can ask them to look at one. And it might as well be a commander.

This anon speaks the truth though. You should run interaction in your decks, but sometimes you won't have it the turn you need it and will have to play around things your opponents have, that's what keeps the game fresh.
>>96147821Especially losing by scooping after a board wipe. In recent memory a mouth breather was about to resolve a Return of the Wildspeaker to draw him 26 after he dumped his hand, someone killed his big creature so he was only going to draw 2 instead and he left the table in a huff.

And there's currently no rule about being able to target stuff in the command zone, since nothing can do it in actual magic, closest is 408.1 that says that shit in the command zone isn't a permanent and can't be destroyed. I always have at least one of these dragons built, I need some finding a good niche for some of the dragons. Here's what I got at the moment.
Crosis, the Purger: I have in the past used him as my biggest dumbest battlecruiser commander but I think it's time to update it.
Darigaaz, the Igniter: I like throwing any new "the rock" style cards in here and doing some basic jund churning. It's also where my worldgorger combo lives. The deck is weak but its fun.
Dromar, the Banisher: I have played this as a counterpost style deck and it can be miserable to play against according to my local table because I have a hard time actually finishing the game. I have also tried some eldrazi/robot beatdown builds and found them to be pretty weak.
Intet, the Dreamer: This deck is a splintertwin deck. I think the colors are boring and the dragon is pretty weak even for this list. I have given some thought to taking apart gay kings and making this a group hug deck idk though.
Numot, the Devastator: I like playing this as a fliers deck.
Oros, the Avenger: basically your typical orzhov guildmage deck. giving oros lifelink can be funny. Has a few very convoluted doomsday lines.
Rith, the Awakener: this dragon sucks, I have been toying with some kind of spellslinger token strat trying to abuse mizzix mastery.
Teneb, the Harvester: I could really use some help making something less generic with. It's currently a dedicated necrotic ooze deck and I find that boring.
Treva, the Renewer: I've built it in a lot of different ways but at the moment I prefer a counterpost strategy and thats a reason why dromar is not being played that way.
Vorosh, the Hunter: My first EDH deck and the frustrating decks I have had the displeasure of revisiting on a regular basis. The math just does not work for his ability, I can count on one hand the amount of times he went undisrupted long enough to run the table in some kind of counter or control package. Spot removal costs much less mana than a boardwipe and does not have the aforementioned blind spot of not doing anything if it never gets back to your turn once the threat appears.
>He always has it!No, you just think that.
>>96156049I am kinda new to magic but when I've looked into magic in the past to see if I could find a card that inspired me to make a deck to play I was always cringing at like the 10 recycled characters that reappear as planeswalkers and on other cards over and over and over again. It makes MTG look like a very shallow pond when it comes to the lore/aesthetic/world building than what people try to convince you.
If I'm making a mono-green deck with loads of ramp, like at least 15 ramp spells/abilities, should I drop down from 38 Forests to fewer since I will be less likely to not have enough lands, or keep/increase my quantity of Forests to ensure I can always get more?
As long as I have a land drop turn two and/or three depending on which ramp card I have to start with, then I should be good with perhaps one or two fewer, but perhaps I'm not thinking straight?
>>96156084the lore never recovered from the jacetice league and its consequences
>>96156002>"enchanted creature has"that's a very helpful hint, thanks
>>96156117This is something I'll always agree on with sloppers, but does that mean Spongebob is ok?

>>96156160sigarda is from original innistrad. everyone thought gideon was from alara but they changed his design and said he was from greece the whole time and had a different name actually.
>>96156116If you miss a land drop but have ramp in hand, then you should've put in a forest rather than the ramp card.
>>96156157hard to say but it does mean im a lot less bothered by it since i dont really care about the story/lore anymore
>>96156117This but the Urza league
>>96156185Absolutely, so I guess I need to goldfish the first three or so turns a bunch. Once I've got a couple of lands down then I'm golden.
>>96156163>mutate from graveyardGod I fucking love it so much. My pod runs very little exile removal so I just keep recasting him over and over and wipe the table

>>96156273I'm not a fan of "and then Guff remembered he could have just stopped everything from happening whenever he had wanted." It's even worse than the shit that happened with Phyrexia

>>96155377The moment you put in a non-tribal creature card because it has an ability you want. At that point you've lost the spirit of what the deck is supposed to be.
Changelings are an exception.

>>96155377I have the opposite problem where everyone thinks I'm playing a tribal deck because my commander cares about a specific creature type.
I appreciate that my friends are thinking of me, but I don't need to put every U/G creature with the word 'salamander' on it into the deck.
>>96153750same man, I've been waiting for a new 4 color pile for ages
>>96155986I assume anti-UB posters are just bitter non-binary/troons/non-whites made that sets are getting made that aren't about magic black afro woman girlboss or gay dragons or he-shes saving the day.

>>96156675some of them are OP tho so I would propably not even get to enjoy them for their KoS status
>>96156084This is what retards don't want to admit. Magic's "lore" has always been puerile basic bitch fantasy garbage. 99% of the playerbase doesn't give a shit about Karn or Jace, they don't care about Mirrodin or Dominaria. Making Magic have stories was one of the worst moves Wizards made. Every set should've just been vague allusions to characters and a larger story.
