Jays realized after 2023 that Vladdy and co. weren't going to hit 2021 HR numbers again and so switched everything around in the hitting department while also bringing in a bunch of good defenders with contact hitting in mind. Last year was a flop, but everything started clicking in mid May. The depth pieces acquired in the offseason and after last year's sell off have worked out great. Also, prospects like Barger and some relievers are finally panning out
