Being shit at weapons you aren't trained for at the start of the game isn't a shit RPG because people are too dumb to pay attention to game mechanics and just assume "weapon swing equals hit because it shows that but not the underlying mechanics of dodge, fatigue, skill, attack type, etc."

Morrowind's combat system is the best of any Elder Scrolls game and top-tier in video games in general but people are fucking morons and can't see it.

Good advice, I did the same but Nord for the most part; once I found my first Silver Claymore the game was basically over (and Silver was just needed because Steel and Iron wouldn't hurt ghosts).

Yeah but the Cliff Racers hitbox is really wonky, with bows you have to aim the middle of their tails IIRC to drop them.
