He's out of her league in disk 1, but by disk 3 he's worthy, his character arc is great going from a bit of a joke bumbling knight to a hero paladin willing to lay down his life into the very depths of hell for his friends and for Zidane.

Steiner's character arc is amazing, I don't think I have a favourite though I really love them all and couldn't imagine the party without any of them (except for Amarant).
