>Regularly goes between the most overpowered champion in the game and the worst, people only play him because he's FOTM overpowered before immediately dropping him
>Banrate remains consistently high when he's viable because he's completely unfun to play against
>Nobody mains him because he's not fun to play as, only to win when he's OP
>Already stuck in proplay jail and will remain so until at least two midscope updates because there is no way in hell they can salvage this dumpster fire of a kit
>You are now aware that pre-rework Skarner went five years with only marginal changes and despite not being popular, was undeniably healthier for the state of the game while having a dedicated set of mains that liked his playstyle
