The '28' crowd is toxic. The games are also awful, I've tried to play a few of them. The rules are shallow to the point of not really being a wargame any more, army building is usually heavily curtailed, and everything exists as to be a "shititsu" modelling project - that's Blanchitsu but with the vibrant and contrasting colours replaced by dull colours and more mud than you would find on the Somme front after a particularly heavy rainfall.
And do not even start me on the "conversions", most of them are just historicals from two different periods with some warhammer bits added on and enough mud effects paint to hide the seams.
Admittedly TC does appear to have better rules than the rest of the 28 stuff, but I've also got no interest in the game, "muh catholics vs muh demons but in ww1" is just not appealing to me, and the map makes no sense.
Also, there is the 28 crowds minor issue of obnoxiousness and bad attitude towards any criticism or anyone whom does not toe the approved line too, it's a toxic cult that's building itself up on self backrubs and fart huffing.
