like i said, any game where you cant aim vertically or jump feels clunky to me, like a piece is missing

not to mention you only have 6 weapons and the pistol is useless the moment you find the chaingun

the levels also get too huge and maze-like often

now i remember it liking it fine enough when i played it years back, but didnt hook me as well as Duke, Blood or even Shadow Warrior

and Quake, i fucking love Quake

i will say however, if you buy ANY classic Id game nowadays, you get insanely bang for your buck, you buy Doom 1+2 as a package, and you get a bunch of expansions and episodes, same with Quake 1 and 2
