>>714199170DQ11 is a tried and true classic, arguably the second best DQ game after 8. Looks really nice, the story is fine, the characters are fun, the gameplay is exactly what you would expect of DQ. Very relaxing.
Octopath Traveler has amazing music and divisive presentation (I personally liked the diorama look and the character/enemy sprites but wasn't a fan of the post-processing), the combat is a tiny bit more interesting than DQ11.
Bravely Default 2 is irredeemable garbage that shits all over the series.
>>714199695What is the completionist ?
I don't know what to play this summer. I usually find something comfy or at least really fun that takes up a month or so each year, but this time I have no idea at all.
Previous years:
Factorio
Stardew Valley
Fallout New Vegas (yeah, yeah, but it was pretty good)
Ion Fury

I NEED AN ANSWER:
Is this shit fun? Or is it just "LOL SO RAMDUM GRAPHIX XDDDD" shit?
>>714200010Play Doom mods.
I'm going through Diamond Dragon at the moment, which is a weapon replacement mod that also comes with a built-in monster replacer plus additional compatibility patches for cyberpunk/sci fi wads. Pic related.
There's also Quake (get the Ironwail sourceport, the Kex engine used for the remaster is kind of shit) and Duke Nukem 3D or Blood.
Dusk and Ion Fury are the only decent throwback retro shooters, the others are mediocre to shit and many are outright Doom mods being sold for actual money, which is a total scam.

>>714200010D16 is hardly a boomer shooter.
Painkiller Black is close in the reliance on arenas.
Dusk is very good.
Amid Evil is decent, a bit too simple, but that might be a boon in your case.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/ashes-2063/downloads/ashes-stand-alone-version-101 excellent free series on GzDoom engine, very approachable.
The big Build engine 3: Blood, Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior.
Duke is the easier of the three, but the middle episode really sags.
Blood is overall the best, but quite challenging.
Shadow Warrior is often bland visually, pretty hard, and plays on par with or slightly behind Blood.
Serious Sam does its own horde shooter thing, I regard it in a league of its own. First and second encounter are a must try.

Build Engine games are all flare and superficial appeal, they kind of suck ass. Its no surprise most "boomer shooters" on steam mirror build engine games, as they are made to grab attention from the most retarded normalfags imaginable. The shit you can do in Doom is absolutely unreal and it feels great to play once you REALLY learn it.
>>714203861Im sure he can work his miracles to stop this guy from behaving like that.
>>714203975I bought one when they first released and never regretted it. Its strength is giving a new way to play some Steam games you've collected over the years but never touched. I had Yoku's Island Adventure for years but it took sitting on my couch with a Deck to play through it. It's also really good if you have a taste for emulation.

>>714204591It'll probably be ported in a couple months.
Square Enix just wanted an exclusive for the Switch 2 launch so people didn't forget they existed but they always port their stuff to PC eventually.

>>714204086Underrail is cool, just remember to ALWAYS level up your main form of damage dealing. And stick to normal. Oddity if you can stomach it first run.
>>714204463Yeah, Build Engine has that fun novelty factor of destructible terrain (for certain places) and interactivity, but the gunplay is... meh. Doom is a lot simpler but it has the basics down to perfection and it results in something that's fun to this day.

When it comes to character creation, the most important part at the start is that you put points based on the feats you want.
>>714205496>t.Filtered by Depot A
>>714205356A lot of big mistakes being made here, Underrail isn't really a video game. Its a feat stacking simulator like NWN, and you'll want oddity on because you're going to spend the entire first half of the game rooting through trash cans and pickpocketing every single NPC you come in contact with, solving every remotely difficult fight with grenades, and then the latter half of the game will be one shotting entire screens with the same wombo combo over and over. There is no other way to play the game. Its peak retarded slavshit.

>>714201852I'm playing this currently. It's ok for something I got in a bundle, but not something that's worth $9. The game is pretty short and you have to return to previous levels frequently after unlocking an upgrade that lets you get a new item/collectible. I guess you're meant to replay it on higher difficulties, especially since there isn't any real penalty for dying on normal difficulty(infinite retries on normal). >>714214716Sorry, I only know Japanese. My korean knowledge is limited so take it with a grain of salt.
In the 80s, South Korea was under control of a dictatorship due to various happenings of the time. When the economy was going according to plan, their leader asked the Japanese prime minister of the time for advice, which is basically opening up the markets so the populace will stop turning on you. So SK opened up and there was a slew products entering the market as well as average citizens selling shit on the streets, all very similar to Hong Kong pre-china. Some point in the early 90s, their dictatorship collapsed but government over-regulation stayed. It was conservative at the time, so video games were seen early on as nuisances to to public safety. They were then regulated as such but PCs weren't, SKs most popular platform. Today we still see companies like nexon fleecing people mainly because the policies haven't changed. I suspect similar situation in Japan, however in korea taxes are levied much fiercely on game software to disincentivize their production, didn't do shit, and devs are forced to ramp up mtx just to pay them off.

Supposedly there is some issues with revolution on a microscopic level but I can't tell the difference and it comes with more content. HD is a remake, and its fine too, but I would get that AFTER you play the originals. The HD differences are NOT minor, there are some huge changes. Some of these changes are good, like fixing broken spawners and being less janky, but some things are bad like nerfing cool shit and looking uglier.

I just know I won't even play until it's done anyway so why even bother buying it now. And yeah, G String is a relly cool game too. It has such a well realized vision of a certain type of dystopian future and it's quite beautiful in how dreary and ugly everything is. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to play something set in a dystopian cyberpunk setting.
I've decided to replace Peripeteia with this game which looks cool too. Never heard of it before.

>>714221909I have never heard of that before either, but it looks pretty cool. I really loved Armored Core 6 and this just looks like a jankier version of it. I don't mind that very much since AC6 runs and plays like butter and that's a hard standard to achieve, even more after playing the older AC games which are for the most part also mega jank.
Will keep an eye on it, maybe if the game gets some updates to fix whatever issues the reviews complain about
>>714222310I'm not a straightfur so Atylss was kind of a fuck it it's 5 bucks purchase, I just really like 3rd person action rpg grinder games like pso.
havent started Ender Magnolias yet but I fucking loved Ender Lilies, which is the first game in the series. It's a pretty by the numbers Metroidvania but it's not bad at all, very SotN and Dark Souls influenced.

>>714198768 (OP)How are the DLC's for Ready or Not?

>>714222310loli kino metroidvanias. VERY good. Ender Magnolia is the sequel to Ender Lillies, and is much more polished and just across the board better than Ender Lillies. I could not suggest these games more if I tried, but 100% start with Lillies or it might feel a bit clunky otherwise
Pretty basic, doubt I'll get a better deal than this.
Is 15% off for Psychopomp Gold the best it'll get?
>>714219719There's no support person lol. All you're doing is hiding the licence from your account. You can instantly restore it whenever you want through the same option. You can never fully remove a game from your account. Even games you refund still have the licence attached to your account behind the scenes, which is why steam warns you that if you buy the game again you won't receive a different key.

>Avowed - $60.29
>Monster Hunter Wilds - $93.49

I like autismo games you can really sink your teeth into with customization and depth.
Give me either games with character customization even close to games like Troubleshooter and Pathfinder:WotR, or games that have a lot of mechanics like Paradox simulators and Rimworld.
For a trade, I will give you a game with over 20000 reviews but you've probably never played before, because it's chinese
