The whole 'inti doesn't know wtf they're doing' is kind of the apex of the discussion, because that's kind of what it boils down to - they're ambitious, but they need to be tardwrangled, because shit can get out of scope really quickly.
Personally, when it comes to retcons, I'd either take the grognard 'I hate change, and accept only the initial statement' OR the ZUN-esque 'canon is determined by the most recent entry' stances, but I have trouble imagining scenarios in which I'd pick the ~Middle Child~ option - it wasn't the first, and it wasn't the latest, so it feels like the odd one out.
