Anyone else feel like every episode focused on Christianity fell flat?

the attempt to mix Christianity being real with a world where all these weird sci fi elements were real feels awkward

Every time they uncharacteristically make Mulder into some hyper skeptic just for the sake of the plot, while scully suddenly believes it, also against character, just because she’s Christian it doesn’t make sense she’d really be that up to believing a demon is killing girls because they’re nephilim lol

Finally all of the stories are just badly written compared to average episodes from what I remember
