Yeah, basically this. Though for me, the 1 to 2 year mark is more of me wanting to see Guest characters in the game like Rivals 1 (only after they've added back all the Rivals 1 characters of course). I loved seeing how someone like Ori plays in a platform fighter, so I've loved the idea of them doing that again, but with different characters, and if the game has a long enough life span (which I think it will, because Smash is MIA for about 3 years at least).
Even got a list of "I loved to see blank in Rivals 2".
