Retard here, can someone explain how the hell compound radius fretboards work?
You're telling me they start at 9.5 and go down to 14 but that doesn't cause awful string rise at the lower frets?

I always hear that, the CVs are equivalent or slightly better than the low range or MiM fenders but the electronics are gimped are are the first things that need to go with the wiring. After buying a CV and a decent drop in geared-up pickguard you're right back to the price of a player II or something.
What's interesting is some of the chinese amazon brands are starting to put out decent cheap fender copies with decent wiring/custom hot pups and full-size pots. I've been looking at Eart strats recently desu, that angry metrosexual finnish guy elmo karjalainen says earts usually win his affordable guitar shootouts but the main brands lack (except for epiphone now, surprisingly).
