Thinking of going to Romania to find a spouse. My spoken Romanian is meh, but I know enough to get around. I also considered Moldova/Belarus/Ukraine, but I thought it would be a better to get someone from the same ethnic background. Any advice on going to Romania or Eastern Europe for this purpose, i.e., meeting marriage-worthy girls?

Thinking of going to Romania to enter politics. I was inspired by the rise of George Simion and Calin Georgescu and think I can offer an alternative to the status quo that appeals to both the establishment and nationalists. My spoken Romanian is meh, but I know I will quickly learn once I move there. What should I know about Romania before making the move? Will I forever be seen as an outsider because I’m coming from America?
